Beware of Açai Berry Free Trial Scams

While doing our research on the Açai berry and realizing that many are interested in the amazing health benefits of this berry, some have been burned financially.   Many online marketers offer free trials of the Açai berry with promises of it being a weight loss or cleansing product.  Attached to their web pages are seemingly endorsements from celebrities like Oprah or from recognized media sources.  These pages are found when keywords like “weight loss” or “colon cleanse” together with Açai are typed in the Google searches.

It is unfortunate that many online marketers are elusively making their money from a product that is sought after by many people looking for ways to improve their health but without the full benefit of the fruit.

Companies offer free trials of Açai products with promises of great health results like weight loss or cleanse or burn.  How much of the Açai berry are in these products? Consumers are tricked into thinking that they are getting a free product.  There are no issues with the Açai berry with its numerous health benefits.  You could read all about the health benefits of the Açai berry from various trusted sources.  The issue is with companies offering these free trials.  The company’s landing page coaxes consumers to think that the company’s products are endorsed by celebrities and news sources as pictures and logos of trusted news sources like CNN or Newsbreak are visible on their webpage.  Did they actually make those endorsements or did these sources discuss about the health benefits of the Açai berry itself.  Do you see the difference?

Companies have taken endorsements out of context.   Just because an individual had success with using products made out of the Açai berry, it does not mean that they are saying they use a particular brand and agree with it.  They are talking about the Açai berry itself, not the finished product.  Get the facts straight.

Another issue is with companies that offer free trials.  If you do not read the small fine print, normally hidden under Terms and Conditions, you are in for an unpleasant ride.

Consumers are asked for the credit card information to cover the shipping and handling fees.  Unbeknownst to consumers, they have entered into an auto shipping agreement with the company.  Gotcha!  The fine prints tell you that if they do not cancel within the trial period, usually 14 days, you will be charged an exuberant amount for a product that may or may not work for you or haven’t even tried because it has not delivered.   Just do a Google search on testimonies from people who have been scammed.  It’s sad to hear that people are still taking advantage of others.

This type of scam happens for all products, not just the Açai berry.  This is not news to consumers about “free” items.  Why do consumers continue to fall for these scams?

Consumers must be vigilant in their decisions especially if they were to be enticed by free trial offers.  Companies do not give away their products for free without wanting something from them in return.

True Greatness

Success looks inward; true greatness looks upwards then outwards.

Success is about my agenda; true greatness is about God's

Success accommodates selfishness; true greatness celebrates altruism.

Success is about receiving; true greatness is about giving.

Success worships what is sees in a mirror; true greatness grieves for what is seen through its windows.

Success pays off for now; true greatness pays off forever.
